Speakers

The main objective of this workshop is for the gathered experts in the field to brainstorm for future development of technologies and applications of QCLs, which will require ample time for discussions after each presentation. Therefore, all the speakers should strictly adhere to the time limit of presentations, that is, 15 minutes for scene setters and 10 minutes for regular speakers. Unless it is absolutely necessary, speakers are advised to skip the introduction and background information. Instead, they should focus on the most recent and exciting results in their own research and projections of future directions.

Audio/Visual Equipment:   Standard audio/visual equipment including an overhead projector and a laser pointer will be available in the meeting room. A computer equipped with windows XP and an LCD projector will also be available for PowerPoint presentations. To use the latter, please bring a USB pen-drive or a CD with your PowerPoint presentation.   No Zip disks or other storage media, please.   Also, be sure to bring a back-up of your presentation on overhead transparencies. The speaker audio-visual desk will be open on Tuesday September 5 th from 5 pm to 7 pm to upload and test your PowerPoint presentation.
