While at AVBS, Tim Lu worked on a circuit model of the cochlea that showed how it performed fast amplification with slow outer hair cells. He was awarded the Bioengineering
Undergraduate Research Award from MIT's Biological Engineering
Division for his work with AVBS on an early bionic ear processor. He is currently in the MD-PhD program at MIT and Harvard.
