DNA Origami Team – meets bi-weekly

January 15, 2016 at 10 AM/12 Oxford St. Harvard University

The ability to control exciton transport on the micron length scale would transform device design in applications ranging from next generation OPV materials to enhanced biosensors. We engineer new excitation transport networks using rigidly constructed but flexibly designed DNA origami combined with specifically bound chromophores. Using state-of-the-art structural docking and molecular dynamics simulations combined with advanced spectroscopic techniques, including single molecule and ultrafast transient absorption, we can predict and verify optimal transport networks realized in DNA origami.   The team members are Doran Bennett (Aspuru-Guzik), Nicolas Sawaya (Aspuru-Guzik), Toru Kondo (Schlau-Cohen), Wei Jia Chen (Schlau-Cohen), James Banal (Bathe), Will Bricker (Bathe), and Remi Veneziano (Bathe)
