Biography:
Yaoping joined SMART AMR IRG in August 2019 as a postdoctoral associate in Prof. Jongyoon Han’s Group. She received PhD. degree in Microelctronics and Solid-electronics from Peking University in 2017 and B.E. degree in Biological Engineering from Beihang University in 2010. Her previous postdoctoral experience was in biomedical-MEMS group of Prof. Wei Wang in Peking University, from July 2017 to July 2019. She was a visiting PhD. student in Biological Microtechnology and BioMEMS group of Prof. Joel Voldman at MIT from November 2012 to October 2013.

Yaoping now works in a multidisciplinary project between Han group and Prof. Lih Feng Cheow Group in Biomedical Engineering, NUS. She focuses on the low-abundance pathogen separation from body fluids based on the micro/nanopore filtration. She explores both the principal mechanism in filtration for pathogen separation and the standardization of sample preparation for POCT of blood infection. The research motivation and target is to promote the personalized therapy in precision medicine.
