Goyal and Stultz to Career Development Professorships

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science (EECS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
(MIT) has named three Research Laboratory of Electronics
(RLE) faculty to career development professorships.
Karl K.
Berggren was named Emanuel E. Landsman Career
Development Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering.
Professor Berggren specializes in methods of nanofabrication,
with current emphasis on the role of nanofabrication
in superconductive quantum circuits, photodetectors,
and high-speed superconductive electronics.
Vivek K Goyal was named Esther and Harold E. Edgerton
Career Development Assistant Professor of Electrical
Engineering. Professor Goyal specializes in signal
processing and information theory, with current emphasis
on source coding theory, quantization theory, and practical,
robust network content delivery.
Collin M.
Stultz was named W. M. Keck Career Development
Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering. Professor
Stultz specializes in computational chemistry, with
current emphasis on measuring conformational changes
in macromolecules and understanding the effect of structural
transitions on common human diseases. Professor Stultz
also holds a concurrent appointment as Assistant Professor
of Health Sciences and Technology.
