Graduate Research Assistants

We are currently seeking a qualified graduate student interested in quantum optics and superconductive devices. This project will be focused on developing superconductive nanowire single-photon-detector technology, with a particular focus on extending the work to detector arrays, readout, and mid-infrared detection.

Undergraduate Research Assistants
We continuously consider applications for undergraduate research assistant positions through the undergraduate research opportunities (UROP) program. The position would require a commitment of ~ 10 hours per week, and full-time employment during IAP and the summer. Please submit a your CV, a list of courses taken and grades, major or intended major, and a cover letter stating your interest in the position to our administrative assistant .

Post-Doctoral Research Fellows

We are currently seeking a post-doc for a quantum-computing-related project, involving measurement of ion states using superconductive devices. Please submit a your CV and a cover letter stating your interest in the position to our administrative assistant .

Visiting Researchers and Students
We regularly host extended visits by researchers from academia or industry or by students enrolled at other educational institutions. We have hosted several highly productive visits of this type (prior visitors include Nicolas Boulant, Antonin Ferri, Stefan Harrer, Jan Kupec, Daniele Masciarelli, Magnus Rådmark, and Giovanni Salvatore, and Simon Schuster. Huigao Duan is currently visiting the group.

Generally, visits from students that last for fewer than 6 months will not be considered, while the most productive visits last at least a full year.

If you are interested in a visiting appointment in our laboratory, please forward your CV along with a cover-letter stating the details of your planned visit (duration, type, home institution, etc.) to our administrative assistant .
