This individual will work with a small international team of researchers at MIT and the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands to develop a new electron microscope based on quantum non-demolition measurements. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Applied Physics. The emphasis of the work will be initially on the design of quantum-mechanically coherent electron resonators to demonstrate the proof of concept of the effect.
