David Meyer is a graduate student in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at M.I.T. He received his Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle where he worked on measurement of the permanent electric dipole moment in mercury as well as resonant wireless power transfer.

His current research interests are in superconducting ion traps and their application to quantum computation. He also dabbles into other superconducting devices and low-temperature microwave experiments.
