Simon Schuster was a visiting graduate student in the M.I.T. Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science until October 2008. He has been studying Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, and at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he was a visiting student in 2006. He has received his bachelor's degree of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from TUM in 2006 and he will receive his diploma degree in the same field from TUM at the end of 2008. Mr. Schuster is further a student at the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) of the Ludwig-Maximilans Universität München (LMU) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) since 2006 and will receive his honors degree in Technology Management from CDTM at the end of 2008.

His research in the Quantum Nanostructures and Nanofabrication Group focused on developing a lift-off process for hydrogen silsesquioxane resist patterns.
