The Optical and Quantum Communications Group develops entanglement source and measurement technologies, as well as protocols that use them in photon-efficient communication, imaging, and metrology.

The overarching goal is to enable and to demonstrate, in proof-of-principle experiments, capabilities that greatly exceed what can be realized with conventional, classical-physics systems for these applications.
