Mariana received her Integrated Master degree in Biomedical Engineering & Medical Informatics from University of Minho, Portugal, in 2007. She is currently a Ph.D candidate within the MIT|Portugal Program in the Bioengineering Focus Area. Her research interests are in the area of NeuroEngineering, specifically in the development of new wearable technologies to monitor brain activity, using electro-optic methods.
