William received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan in 2007. Working with a graduate student, William did research on enabling Scanning Near Field Microscopy technology with organic LEDS under the supervision of Professor Kevin Pipe. He is jointly advised by Paul Juodawlkis while pursing his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering working with semiconductor optical amplifiers and semiconductor external cavity lasers with focus on integrated optics. William conducts most of his research work at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
