Daniel S. Weller received his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with honors from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006, and his S.M. in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 2008. He is currently affiliated with the STIR group and is pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at MIT. Daniel is supported by a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship, and he is the recipient of a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. His research interests include signal processing and estimation, nonideal sampling and reconstruction, and video and image processing.

While at Carnegie Mellon, he worked as an undergraduate researcher at the university's General Motors Collaborative Research Laboratory. With the support of faculty, graduate students, and General Motors engineers, he developed simulation software to facilitate the design of vehicle-to-vehicle communication systems. As part of the 2006 Meeting of the Minds undergraduate research symposium, he received awards in the Lockheed Martin/Eta Kappa Nu/Electrical and Computer Engineering Project competition, the Carnegie Institute of Technology Honors Poster competition, and the Sigma Xi Poster competition.

Daniel is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, Sigma Xi, and IEEE.
