Joel Voldman at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) was presented with the first Young Innovator Award, which is sponsored by the American Chemical Society (ACS) journal Analytical Chemistry, on October 13 at the MicroTAS 2008 conference in San Diego. This new award recognizes a young scientist who has demonstrated exceptional technical advancement and innovation early in his or her career.
