As a Fiscal Officer for post award administration, Cherry serves as an advisor and the primary contact for her assigned Principal Investigators (PI’s) and project leaders on the post-award matters. She monitors the financial performance of the active grants and contracts and provides regular updates to PI’s to verify the proper distribution of resources and use of funds. She also provides financial analysis and oversight, and prepares standard and non-standard reports for PI’s, senior administrators, and sponsors. Cherry works closely with PI’s, OSP and many department across MIT, to ensure compliance with MIT and sponsor policies through the life of the award.
