CUA Virtual Seminar – Building fully controlled single NaCs molecules

Location:Zoom

Ultracold molecules are a rapidly advancing frontier of quantum science, with rich internal structure that makes them powerful tools for quantum simulation, quantum computation, precision measurement, and cold chemistry. Harnessing the fullest potential of ultracold molecules requires gaining full control over the internal and external degrees of freedom of individual molecules. I will describe how we have achieved this long-standing goal by assembling a single NaCs molecule in its rovibrational ground state in an optical tweezer.
