Outreach: General Public

The CUA participates in events aimed at the general public. Our PIs give keynote speeches for all manner of events, engage in collaborations with museums in Boston and around the world, conduct media interviews on major results and what they mean in the context of Physics research, and more.

Alex Frenett, Harvard
Alex Frenett helped organize background details for a series of two panels with Black professionals and academics for Black communities. He also helped organize the ThinkTank, which funded ideas to improve problems that the Black community faces due to institutional racism, COVID-19, and the intersections thereof.

Taylor Patti (Yelin and Lukin Groups) has developed MA Department of Corrections network secure dual-boot environments for inmate laptops. Taylor serves on committees to expand computer/programming and higher education to incarcerated individuals, and develops/curates programming courses for incarcerated individuals.
