Teaching Fellow

Biography:

Sofia was born in Greece and moved to the United States in 2003 to study physics as an undergraduate at Yale. There she first worked with Pr. John Harris on relativistic heavy ion physics. Subsequently she moved to the lab of Pr. Jack Harris, with whom she completed her undergraduate thesis on quantum optomechanical systems. Sofia is currently working in the lab of Pr. John Doyle, trying to create Rb samples of high optical density using buffer gas cooling and no lasers.
