The LEAP program, consisting of monthly workshops, was created in the fall of 2012 to support and enhance the administrative, human resources, fiscal and computer skills of the RLE’s administrative assistants.  Over the past five years we’ve received overwhelmingly positive feedback from RLE’s PIs expressing the value of LEAP.

What does the LEAP Program have to offer you?

A Supportive Environment:

• In-depth training for all new administrative assistants to RLE whether hired internally to MIT or externally

• Assigned a peer mentor

• Partnership with RLE Headquarters – Work closely with RLE Fiscal and HR Teams to provide skilled and knowledgeable service to your individual lab groups

Sense of Community:

• Monthly workshops

• Annual retreat

Mentorship and Career Development:

• Peer mentors help onboard new administrative assistants quickly and effectively

Membership to a world-class service organization:

• Award-winning Administrative service: Infinite Mile, Excellence Award, Collier Medal

• RLE has a track record of outstanding customer service as evidenced by PI/Faculty and employee satisfaction

• Serve as the non-technical administrative expert embedded within your research group
