Chin Ren joined SMART-CAMP in July 2020 as a student intern working with Dr. Kerwin Kwek on prototyping of devices for the use of microfluidic profiling and separation. He later went on to convert to a full time research engineer position under Dr. Kerwin Kwek, Prof Jongyoon Han’s group in March 2021. He completed his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) at the University of Newcastle, Australia.

He is now working with Dr. Kerwin Kwek and his team in the development of microfluidic devices investigating biophysical CQAs for CAR-T immune therapy using DLD microfluidic technologies, and also whole blood immune profiling using label-free biophysical markers which investigate distinct immune response signatures.
