In early June, Prof. Médard will be giving a presentation at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) in conjunction with her receiving the honor of Doctor Honoris Causa. Her presentation will be occurring at 4 PM (+1 UTC) on June 2nd and will be titled “Universal Decoding – Revisiting the Need for Standardization in Error-Correcting Codes.” The official ceremony where Prof. Médard will be receiving her honorary degree during BME’s Ceremonial Open Session of the University Senate; this will take place on June 3rd at 10:00 AM (+1 UTC).

Receiving the title of Doctor Honoris Causa is a great recognition, particularly from such a prestigious university. She looks forward to both ceremonies, as well as meeting those who work at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
