Professor Muriel Médard has been invited to Halle, Germany, by the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina to receive her Class 1 membership certificate. The German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina consults with the German government on scientific matters, while also cooperating and exchanging ideas with other National Academies of Science. Receiving a membership from the Academy is a high honor, one that is largely given to members of German-speaking countries.

The Ceremonial Presentation of the Class 1 membership certificates will be held on February 15th in Halle, Germany. There will be further events following the Membership Certificate ceremony, such as a public evening lecture on the 15th and an “Energy Storage” symposium on the 16th. More details regarding these events can be found here.
