Dr. Yuriy A. Reznik is a Research Scientist at the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT, where he conducts research and teaches the graduate-level course 6.7010 Digital Image Processing. His work spans digital signal processing, image processing, multimedia coding, and media delivery over packet-based networks. He has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications, holds over 80 U.S. patents, and contributed to several Emmy Award-winning technologies and standards in multimedia coding and streaming.

 

Dr. Reznik earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Kyiv in 2005. In 2008, he was a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, studying advanced topics in image and video processing. He joined the Research Laboratory of Electronics at MIT in September 2025.
