Miela Gross is an incoming graduate student in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with a focus in Applied Physics and Devices. She is planning to research magnetic insulators for applications in spintronics. She received the MIT School of Engineering Lemelson Fellowship and the Alfred P. Sloan Scholarship. Miela graduated from University of California Berkeley this past Spring, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Physics. She enjoys mentoring to promote women in STEM and plans to continue to mentor during her time at MIT.
