MIT Alert is the Institute’s notification system. In the event of major life safety or public health emergencies on campus, MIT Alert will quickly distribute updates to community members by means of a number of communication channels including text message, Institute phone and email. To sign up for up MIT Alert by go to http://web.mit.edu/mitalert, on the “MIT Employees and Students Sign Up” button/link, and ente yourl phone or mobile device number and non-MIT email address, if you have one. During emergencies, advisories and updates are also provided on the MIT emergency website the telephone line, 617–253-SNOW (3–7669), and to community-wide email lists.
Email and computer certificates
The RLE community can register for their Kerberos identity, which will allow them to obtain an email account and access restricted electronic resources that require a computer certificate.
Institute Holiday Schedule
International Scholars Office
All international scholars must check-in to the ISO (E38-219) upon arrival.
MIT has contracted with the travel assistance company, International SOS (I.SOS) to provide emergency medical and security evacuation services to faculty, staff and students who are traveling abroad on MIT business. International SOS has 24-hour Alarm Centers, international clinics and remote-site medical facilities covering five continents.
